Burnout & Work Stress

Running on empty isn't a personality trait, it's a signal. We rebuild sustainable boundaries without asking you to care less.

What burnout can look like

Burnout is more than tiredness. It's a persistent, bone-deep exhaustion that doesn't lift with a weekend off, often paired with cynicism about work you used to care about, and a creeping sense that you're less capable than you used to be. It builds slowly, usually while you're too busy to notice. It's characterised by persistent emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion.

How we work with burnout

  • Understanding the real drivers: workload matters, but so does perfectionism, difficulty delegating, and beliefs about self-worth tied to output. We look at the whole picture.
  • Boundaries that actually hold: practical scripts and structures for setting limits, at work and at home, without guilt spiralling in behind them.
  • Redesigning sustainability: not "do less," but building a pace and set of priorities you can genuinely maintain.
Recovery from burnout is realistic. I find it so rewarding when my client feels a meaningful shift in their relationship toward their work, to something that is healthier and sustainable.

Common areas I support

  • Chronic work-related exhaustion
  • Perfectionism and difficulty delegating
  • Decision fatigue and reduced motivation
  • Boundaries with colleagues, clients or family
  • Career direction and re-evaluating priorities
  • Return-to-work planning after leave

When to seek support

If work is consistently costing you more than it's giving back, sleep, health, relationships, or a sense of yourself, that's worth addressing before it becomes a bigger crisis. Many clients wish they'd started this conversation sooner.
